India Yoga Retreat With Anand Sept 19th -Oct 4th

South India Adventure - Feet on Stone, Heart on Fire

    Yoga, Hiking, and Temple Wisdom

This retreat is an invitation into the living spiritual landscape of South India.

From ancient Murugan temples carved into rock, to forest paths leading to remote shrines, to practices set against vast skies and sacred mountains — this is a pilgrimage in motion. We will travel by road through Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, practicing yoga, hiking to power places, and engaging with India as it is: vibrant, unpredictable, devotional, and alive.

This is not a resort retreat.

This is not an eco-village experience.

This is India on the road — raw, sacred, and real.

    The Essence of the Journey

This is an asana- and bhakti-filled road trip designed for practitioners who feel called to experience India beyond surface-level tourism.

    We will:

    * Practice yoga in powerful outdoor locations and sacred sites

    * Hike to remote hilltop and forest temples

    * Visit renowned and lesser-known pilgrimage sites

    * Explore living traditions of devotion, ritual, and temple culture

    * Travel as a small group, allowing space for spontaneity and the unknown

The rhythm of the retreat follows the land, the temples, and the road — not a rigid timetable.

    Yoga & Practice

Yoga on this journey is integrated, not isolated. Practices may include:

    * Morning or evening asana in natural or temple settings

    * Breathwork and contemplative practices

    * Optional “IG Yoga” / photo practice at select locations

    * Informal discussions on philosophy, bhakti, and embodied practice

This retreat is for students who want to experience yoga as a living spiritual path, not only as a physical discipline.

    Who This Retreat Is For

This journey is for you if:

    * You have an established yoga practice and spiritual curiosity

    * You are drawn to **temples, pilgrimage, and sacred landscapes**

    * You enjoy adventure, travel by road, and being on the move

    * You are comfortable with cultural differences and unfamiliar ways of being

    * You thrive in environments that are dynamic rather than controlled

    * You feel excited by the unknown and the mysterious

Who This Retreat Is NOT For

This retreat is not a good fit if:

    * You need a fixed daily schedule or predictable routine

    * You are uncomfortable with change, uncertainty, or improvisation

    * You prefer resort amenities, spa experiences, or eco-village containment

    * You would rather work out in a hotel gym than visit temples

    * You are more interested in shopping, art galleries, or nightlife

    * You are looking for a vacation rather than a pilgrimage

Clarity here is intentional. This journey asks for openness, humility, and a willingness to meet India on its own terms.
